Confidence and self-esteem interventions aim to change the way an individual views themselves, others or their circumstances.

Indicators of issues with self esteem maybe:

  • Struggling with inner security and peace
  • Avoiding social contact
  • Having little confidence
  • Undermining yourself
  • Avoiding tasks
  • Saying negative things
  • Having a low sense of self-worth
  • Needing a boost of confidence prior to a specific event e.g. performance or an interview

What can be done to help with low self esteem?

If the individual’s confidence or self-esteem is linked to specific situations or events, this can be addressed during sessions.

Similarly, if the person requires a boost of confidence, then this can be the focus of the sessions.

The person will be given the opportunity to reflect on how different confidence-boosting techniques affect them. Confidence and self-esteem interventions can be carried out in person or virtually.
